S/S SOLIDIFICATION STABILIZATION TREATMENT

S/S plant is a plant for the treatment of solid waste.

You can easily understand that being solid waste the last ring of depuration chain, it res and concentrates in itself a relevant quantity of pollutants whose dispersion in the environment you have absolutely to avoid. The inertization of this waste type consists of a chemical physical process of solidification and stabilization based on hydraulic binders and other reagents. Inertization has in view the aim to reduce possibility of pollutants dispersion in the environment (pollutants on which is particularly effective are hard metals). By stabilizing chemically and solidifying the waste, the solubility of such pollutants present in the washing out water is radically reduced.

Furthermore the solidification annuls the possible aero-dispersion of dusts.

Therefore a correct S/S allows the reclassification of the waste and the reduction of its dangerousness, with immediate advantages from the point of view of safety and transport and removal costs.

The technology is successfully adopted by many operators in this sector, that are applying our plants since many years now.
The S/S plants can be fix or mobile plants. They are basically composed of:
• A storage area for the material to treat;
• A weighing and collection system of the material to treat;
• A weighing and storage system of reagents;
• Various transport systems of reagents; fluidifying and waste (belts, scrolls, pumps, etc.);
• A control system of the process;
• A mixer where the waste to treat is put in, reagents, fluidifying substances, in the fixed portions, duly mixed and let them interact;
• A storage and maturation area of the material to treat.
 The hourly capacity of the treatment can be dimensioned according to the necessity of the user, by proportioning all required components accordingly.
The plant can be continuous or discontinuous type, according to user’s requirements.
