NEW SIMEM PLANT FOR HOLCIM NEW ZEALAND
SIMEM supplied to Holcim New Zealand, through their agent Zenith Pacific Ltd, a Wet Beton 240. The plant features details like an aggregate storage of 720 cubic meters divided in 10 fractions, 3 cements with a total storage capacity of 375 tons and a SIMEM MSO 9000 HL Twin Shaft Mixer with a compacted concrete output capacity of 6 cubic meters per batch, giving the plant an impressive hourly production rate of 240 cubic meters.
Plant layout is the result of a close cooperation between Holcim, Zenith Pacific and SIMEM to optimize the use of the site and at the same time ensure an uninterrupted operation of the existing batching plant that was located on there.
Although the plant is customized to fit the clients site, it is still based on the well proven range of SIMEM standard components, and include advantages like fully galvanized aggregate section, belt conveyors and steel structures, as well as pre-assembled and pre-wired sections for a simpler and quicker installation.
The plant also includes a holding hopper under the mixer with a hydraulic operated chute for loading of mixer trucks with an integrated automated washing system.
It was started up in June 2009 and has been operating successfully since then.
